The property is a locally significant grade II listed farmhouse dating from early/mid 19th century. It forms part of the historic core of the village of Ashprington.

Joe and his team undertook extensive refurbishment, conserving and repairing almost every floor, wall and ceiling using traditional lime plaster, mouldings and timber finishings.

Works included new floor structure to first floor and traditional lime plaster interior entire house. Fitting new kitchen in loft space. All new timber windows and shutters. Repair to flagstone floor. Decoration including Keim and lime wash paints, French polish finish to woodwork. Refit central heating system to existing atmospheric heating units. Replacement of fire places with reclaimed stone and wood pieces.

Externally, replacement of slate facia with random width diminishing course reclaimed Cornish Delabole slate bedded on lime mortar. Repair and renovation of roof timber work, with new natural slate covering fitted by Jason Edwards and Son.
